Through a series of synchronistic events, I was able to design and package the Herbal Remedy range to offer to Kiwis. These teas are blended in Kathmandu, Nepal and were created by a very renowned and accomplished Nepalese Ayurvedic Doctor by the name of Dr Ka Dev Jha.
Herbal Remedy is proudly New Zealand owned and operated. My name is Mus Badami and I am the director of Herbal Remedy. Born in Bombay, India; I moved to New Zealand in 2003 where I studied for a master’s degree in business management. After spending 15 years working for corporates, I had had enough and wanted to focus on my passion of healthy living through diet, herbs and meditation.
I hope you enjoy these products as much as I do!
Our current range consists of 14 teas. All our herbs are hand picked and naturally dried. We use traditional methods of herb production which includes naturally drying and processing, to achieve a product that is as close to how nature intended as possible.
The herbs are sourced from all over Nepal and India and several of them are handpicked along the mountain slopes of the Himalayas. We work very closely with our herb suppliers and some of them are local farmers from the mountain regions of Nepal who benefit greatly from selling their herbs for use in Ayurvedic remedies.
Our range includes tea for Digestion, Detox, Memory, Sleep, Weight, Stress, Immunity, Kidneys, Liver, Blood Pressure, Heart and the three Dosha teas of Vata, Pitta and Kapha

Ayurveda literally means “science of life” and is an ancient Indian system of healthy living that dates back nearly 5,000 years. Ayurveda follows a simplistic and holistic form of healing with the emphasis on first knowing oneself and focusing on the root cause of the condition; be it improper diet, lifestyle, negative thinking or emotional or energetic imbalances and not just outer symptoms.
A symptom in Ayurveda is merely a signal or warning that there is something wrong with the body and that a deeper level of correction is needed. Thus, through lifestyle changes supplemented by the use of herbs, Ayurveda strives to restore the balance between mind and body leading to sound health and wellbeing.
Didn’t think you would ask! I have been meditating twice a day for 20 years and have found Incense one of the best tools to aid and assist in meditation. So, I set out to find incense that was unique and wonderful both in the way it was made as well as packaged. My search ended in Goa, India when I discovered the Oud Silk Route incense range.
Made using 'Oud' or Agarwood, which is one of the most expensive natural products on the planet and used in incense and oil for 1000s of years, Silk Route incense is a tribute to the old art of incense making. Inspired by a famous chocolate box, this range will delight the senses and fill any room with sweet aromas from the East. Natural Ayurvedic herbs and oils are hand rolled to create the Silk Route incense range. Each box contains 24 sticks wrapped in butter paper to lock in the sweet fragrance of each box.
We also sell stainless steel infusers that supplement our tea range as well as copper tongue scrapers, a highly recommended, daily morning routine according to Ayurveda.
